Full Time Lead Teacher in the Nursery School, Part Time Assistant Teacher in the Nursery School and Substitutes
LEAD TEACHER
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the daily supervision and management of a class of 8 to 30 children, with direct responsibility for 4 to 15 children, between the ages of 0 and 14 years. Oversees curriculum, materials, management, and general supervision of assigned class.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a love for children and an ability to relate well with them, their families, and teachers.
- Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other child-related field and 1 year of experience teaching young children in a group setting. or
- Baccalaureate degree in a non-related field and 18 Early Childhood Education credits and 2 years of experience teaching young children in a group setting. or
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other child-related field and 2 years of experience teaching young children in a group setting. or
- CDA certificate in Early Childhood Education and 4 years of experience teaching young children in a group setting.
- Prefer at least 1 year of experience in a NAEYC accredited program.
- CPR certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hire date.
- First Aid certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hire date.
TEACHER
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the daily supervision and management of a group of 4 to 15 children between the ages of 0 to 14 years.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a love for children and an ability to relate well with them, their families, and staff.
- Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other child-related field. or
- Baccalaureate degree in non-related field and 12 hours of Early Childhood Education college courses and 1 year of experience teaching young children in a group setting. or
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other child-related field and 1 year of experience teaching young children in a group setting. or
- Current CDA certificate in Early Childhood Education and 2 years of experience teaching young children in a group setting. or
- 18 credit hours of Early Childhood Education college courses and 3 years of experience teaching young children in a group setting. or
- 7 years of experience.
- Prefer at least 1 year of experience in a NAEYC accredited program.
- CPR certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hire date.
ASSISTANT TEACHER
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for assisting with the daily supervision and management of a group of 4 to 15 children between the ages of 0 and 14 years.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a love for children and an ability to relate well to them, their families, and fellow employees.
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other related field. OR
- Current CDA Certificate in Early Childhood Education and 1 year of experience teaching young children in a group setting. OR
- 6 credit hours of Early Childhood Education college courses and 3 years of experience teaching young children in a group setting. OR
- High school diploma and 4 years of experience teaching children in a group setting.
- Prefer at least 1 year of experience in a NAEYC accredited program.
- CPR certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hire date.
