"When I was a little girl, I came home from school, had a snack and went out to play. Nobody knew where I was. Today, children are under constant surveillance. I envisioned a place where we could give children more freedom. That's how I came up with the Village, a school-age recreation program."

For school-age children, the Village at Rainbow Station is truly unique. Most of the kids even say it's cool. Every child has a choice of activities, including:
- The Village Green for town meetings and free play
- The Library for quiet study and reading
- The Arcade for games
- The Cafe for cooking projects and snacks
- The Art Gallery for arts and crafts
- The Construction Site for building things
- The Computer Lab
- The Gymnasium (an optional component) for indoor sports
- Outdoor play
- The Apothecary Shop for science projects
- The Village Theater for dramatic play

The Village also offers a special program just for fifth graders called Club 5. Club 5 is so successful, children look forward to having their turn in this exclusive program. This is a real benefit to parents: at this age, children don't normally want to be in an organized afterschool program, but they at Rainbow Station, they want to stay one more year! |
The Village also offers:
- Structured homework time and tutoring
- Transportation to and from school
- Extracurricular activities (music, dance, karate, swimming, etc.) on a fee-for-service basis
- Monthly field trips
- Junior teacher program
- Private Kindergarten
In addition to our after-school program, the Village at Rainbow Station also offers a full-time summer recreation program with mini-courses, weekly field trips, regularly scheduled extracurricular activities and an end of summer picnic
