Rainbow Station is committed to the belief that excellence breeds excellence. Our commitment is to excellence in everything we do. We take to heart our corporate values of community, integrity, innovation, diversity, and ownership—far more than just words on paper, we live our values every day. And we set rigorous standards for teacher qualifications, curriculum development, and professional nursing care in every one of our schools.
Each of our classrooms is led by highly trained degreed or certified teachers who are passionate about their impact on children’s lives. We have developed detailed processes and protocols to ensure employee satisfaction and retention—giving children and families the continuity of care they need. We empower our teachers for success in the classroom, encouraging flexibility and creativity within our curriculum guidelines that enhance the learning process. And full-time pediatric nurses oversee the health, safety, and well-being of all children in our schools.
After all, we know that even more than our unique facilities, and even more than our curriculum, it is our teachers and nurses who make the everyday difference at Rainbow Station.
Rainbow Station, The Village at Rainbow Station, and the Get Well Place are all fully licensed and nationally accredited programs. Achieving accreditation requires meeting high quality standards set by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAECP), and minimum standards established by each state. The Academy, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), administers the industry’s only national, voluntary, and professionally sponsored accreditation system. Accredited early childhood programs voluntarily undergo a comprehensive process of internal self-study and external professional review to verify compliance with the Academy’s stringent criteria.

While the accreditation process examines the total early childhood program, it emphasizes the quality of interactions between staff and children, and the developmental appropriateness of the curriculum. The professional review also includes health and safety, staffing, staff qualifications, communication with families, physical environment, administration, and nutrition and food service. However, the Academy considers the nature of the child's daily experience to be the most important criteria.
Our NAEYC accreditation status sets us apart from other schools by demonstrating key quality indicators parents look for, including: low staff turnover, trained and educated teachers, and a commitment to learning through play. Only 6 percent of child development centers and preschools have achieved accreditation. That means only 6 percent of schools nationwide are sure to offer low child-teacher ratios, follow a curriculum emphasizing individual interests and talents, teach children how to learn, and offer an environment in which children are happy, relaxed, and involved with play—and Rainbow Station is among them.
The NAEYC recognizes the quality of the teacher-child interaction as a primary indicator of the quality of education. At Rainbow Station, we take this very seriously. We strive to ensure our teacher-child interaction is second to none. Each classroom is led by a qualified instructor who creates a rich learning environment, and is dedicated to nurturing acceptance, security, and confidence through meaningful, consistent interaction and relationships with children and parents.
Rainbow Station is not just a unique school, it is a nationally recognized school of excellent education, care, and support focused on the development of your whole child—heart, mind, and body.
