Accreditation Excellence

We Take Pride in Our Schools, and It Shows

But don’t take our word for it, Rainbow Station has been recognized by many national education associations and independent groups for its overall excellence.

Rainbow Station at Charter Colony, The Village at Rainbow Station at Charter Colony, and the Get Well Place are all seeking to be fully licensed and nationally accredited programs. In fact, we are among the few preschools and school-age recreation programs that will achieve national accreditation based on stringent standards set by national accrediting bodies.

We will soon be accredited by:

  • National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
  • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
  • National After-School Association (NAA)

The Advantage of Accreditation

Achieving accreditation requires meeting high quality standards set by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAECP), and minimum standards established by each state. The Academy, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), administers the industry’s only national, voluntary, and professionally sponsored accreditation system. Accredited early childhood programs voluntarily undergo a comprehensive process of internal self-study and external professional review to verify compliance with the Academy’s stringent criteria—providing an outside objective validation of the program’s quality.

While the accreditation process examines the total early childhood program, it emphasizes the quality of interactions between staff and children, and the developmental appropriateness of the curriculum. The professional review also includes

  • Health and safety
  • Staffing
  • Faculty/staff qualifications
  • Communication with families
  • Physical environment
  • Administration
  • Nutrition and food service
  • High standards, every day.

The Academy considers the nature of the child’s daily experience to be the most important criteria. At Rainbow Station, we take this very seriously. We strive to ensure our teacher/child interaction is second to none. Each classroom is led by a qualified instructor who creates a rich learning environment, and is dedicated to nurturing acceptance, security, and confidence through meaningful, consistent interaction and relationships with children and parents.

Our soon to be NAEYC accreditation status sets us apart from other schools by demonstrating key quality indicators parents want for their children:

  • Low faculty/staff turnover
  • Trained and educated teachers
  • A commitment to learning through play

Rainbow Station is not just a unique school, it is a nationally recognized school of excellent education, care, and support focused on the development of your whole child—heart, mind, and body.
