Rainbow Station^SM, The Village @ Rainbow Station^SM, and the Get Well Place^SM are fully licensed and nationally accredited facilities. Achieving licensure (necessary by state regulation to operate) requires meeting minimum standards set forth by the each state. Achieving accreditation requires meeting high standards of quality set forth by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. The Academy, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, administers the only national, voluntary, professionally sponsored accreditation system for all types of schools and child care centers.

Accredited early childhood programs have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive process of internal self-study and have invited external professional review to verify compliance with the Academy's criteria for high quality early childhood programs. While the accreditation process examines the total program, emphasis is placed on the quality of interactions among staff and children and the developmental appropriateness of the curriculum. Health and safety, staffing, staff qualifications, communication with families, physical environment, administration, and nutrition and food service are all reviewed during accreditation. However, primary consideration is given to the nature of the child's daily experience.

From the beginning, Rainbow Station^SM has ascribed to excellence. Commitment to the belief that "Excellence breeds Excellence", Rainbow Station^SM standards for teacher qualifications and curriculum development have been and are high. Degreed teachers provide quality early learning experiences and parent support while nurses oversee the health and safety of all children, families, and employees. To measure the quality of service delivered, accreditation by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs was sought and achieved by all currently operating Rainbow Station^SM programs. This stamp of excellence has only enhanced the community's acceptance of our program.

PLAYWORKS establishes standards of learning for each class. Children are led toward these learning goals through thematic-based teaching and through the self-discovery of play. Progress is measured through developmental assessments.
