The Get Well Place. Color it anything but blue.

Sick children have a significant impact on families and business. They cause their parents to miss 13 to 14 days of work a year. And, they cost employers about $150 a day in lost productivity.

It's no wonder why parents and employers alike have embraced The Get Well Place. Staffed full-time by a Pediatric Nurse, the Get Well Place provides emergency backup for children with common childhood illnesses such as colds or the chicken pox. The Get Well Place is open to all children, regardless if they are enrolled at Rainbow Station®. We also provide care for chronically sick children who are enrolled in Rainbow Station.

The Get Well Place is architecturally separated from the rest of Rainbow Station and can accommodate up to 20 children. After a quick diagnosis by our pediatric nurse, children are sent to one of four rooms, based on their symptoms: The Woozy Station for gastrointestinal illness, the Sniffle Stop for respiratory illness, the Spot Stop for chickenpox, and the Rest Stop for convalescent care.

With parental consent, Rainbow Station will even pick up sick children from school or childcare centers.

The Get Well Place is a great comfort to ailing children and a godsend to working parents. Some employers will even pay for the service rather than have their employees miss work.
