Rainbow Station®, The Village SM Rainbow Station, and the Get Well Place® are fully licensed and nationally accredited programs.Achieving
accreditation requires meeting high standards of quality set forth by the
National Academy of Early Childhood
Programs, and minimum standards established by each state. The Academy, a
division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children,
administers the only national, voluntary, and professionally sponsored
accreditation system in the industry.
Early childhood programs that are accredited have voluntarily
undergone a comprehensive process of internal self-study and external
professional review to verify they comply with the Academy's stringent criteria
(you may obtain a copy of the criteria from the Academy). While the accreditation process examines the total early
childhood program, it emphasizes the quality of interactions between staff and
children, and the developmental appropriateness of the curriculum. The
professional review also includes health and safety, staffing, staff
qualifications, communication with families, physical environment,
administration, and nutrition and food service. However, the Academy
considers the nature of the child's daily experience to be the most important
criteria. Rainbow Station is also a candidate for accreditation by the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. From the beginning, Rainbow Station has been committed to the
belief that Excellence breeds Excellence. Our standards for teacher
qualifications and curriculum development are high. Degreed teachers provide
quality early learning experiences and parent support, while full-time
registered nurses oversee the health and safety of all children, families, and
employees.
Rainbow Station's Curriculum. Color it Proprietary...
Wouldn't you feel better about a nursery or preschool if you knew exactly
what your child was going learn and how he was going to learn? Of
course, you would. That's the promise of PLAYWORKS©, Rainbow Station’s®
proprietary early childhood curriculum. PLAYWORKS establishes
standards of learning for each class. Teachers lead children toward these
learning goals through thematic-based teaching and through the self-discovery of
play. Progress is measured through developmental assessments. PLAYWORKS is fun and
effective. It's one more way in which Rainbow Station
is
different.
